"The estate has always been a magical place, so working towards the restoration has been very important. 
Of course, money is at the root of seeing this goal become a reality.  The fundraisers held by the estate, provides an opportunity to work with others who are interested in the restoration, also.  Being able to see the progress has been exciting as this is an on-going process ."

Next Event - "23rd Antique and Craft Fair"

Admission to the Fair is Free

Come enjoy the 23rd Annual Bingham-Waggoner Antique & Craft Fair on Saturday, July 10, 2010, from 9 am to 4 pm. The Estate will host over 125 antique dealers and crafters on the beautiful grounds around the Mansion. Orginal crafts to outstanding collectibles will be available for purchase. There will be a door prize drawing every hour.
The concession stands will provide tasty treats of Polish Sausages, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers as well as "Walking Tacos". Share a bag of kettle corn as you stroll or some icy lemonade and homemade cookies from the Bingham-Waggoner volunteer cookie booth while you enjoy the shade from a nearby tree.
Admission to the fair is free. Dave Painco, The Soaring Sax Man, will perform throughout the day and the "Spirit of Independence" Community Band will play at noon. Christmas in July will be on display in the Mansion where tours will be available from 10 am to 3:30 pm at the regular, modest fee. The Bingham-Waggoner Estate is located at 313 W. Pacific, Independence, MO.

"29th Annual Pig-Pickin' Chicken-Lickin' Feast"

Dinner 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Is it the same old "Pig-Pickin--Chicken lickin Feast"?... I don't think so!

We will have three sets of musical entertainment during this fun packed evening. Dana Menget String Duo will perform from 4:00 to 5:00. Following will be Bram Wynands on jazz piano from 5:00 to 6:00 and last but certainly not least, Dave Panico, "The Soaring Saxman", will conclude on the saxophone.

Original and reproduction art featuring local artists will be on display and for sale from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.

The Heart of America Model A Ford Club will provide a car show for our guest from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

The Nibmle Thimbles "A stitch in Time" quilt display will be on display in the Mansion not only during the Pig Roast but the whole month of September.

The ever popular silent auction will be held on the grounds of the Estate.

The Carriage House Gift Shop will be open with jewelry, purses, scarves and other great gift items for you or for others.

The menu features ribs from Savage B-B-Q, Chicken Tambucca, Corn Casserole, Pecan Sweet Potato Souffle and many, many other tasty treats including dessert and as always, we are grateful to Lipton Tea for providing beverages.

Tickets for the evening - all this entertainment and really good food are just $14.00. We are limiting ticket sales this year so make your reservations early by purching your tickets from any Bingham-Waggoner Board Member, calling Shireen McLaughlin at 816 461-3491 to charge by phone, stopping by the Carriage House Gift Shop or sending a stamped, self addressed envelope to B-W Estate, PO Box 1163, Independence, MO. 64051.
